Krishi Vigyan Kendra plays a vital role in transferring agricultural technologies directly to farmers by reaching out to them in their villages. Through On-Farm Trials (OFTs), we assess and refine technologies under real farming conditions and provide recommendations tailored to local needs and resources.

We conduct Frontline Demonstrations (FLDs) on important crops such as cotton, oilseeds, pulses, and improved agricultural implements. These demonstrations not only showcase the effectiveness of new technologies but also help in identifying field-level challenges. The feedback collected is shared with scientists, thereby contributing to future research and development.

Capacity building remains one of our core priorities. We organize various training programs for farmers, rural youth, women, and agricultural extension personnel to enhance their skills and productivity. Special emphasis is given to uplifting economically weaker sections by equipping them with knowledge and skills that improve their livelihood and socio-economic status.

To ensure wider dissemination of improved agricultural practices, we regularly organize field visits, farmer fairs, seminars, agricultural exhibitions, educational and study tours. Additionally, we utilize print and electronic media such as newspapers, magazines, television, and radio to reach a larger audience.

We are also committed to empowering rural women through training in areas such as personal and family health, nutrition, home management, child care, and self-employment-oriented enterprises. Our demonstration farm serves as a live learning platform where students, farmers, and rural youth can gain hands-on experience in modern agricultural practices.
