Mrs. Vasudhatai Deshmukh
Ex-State Minister, Maharashtra and Chairperson, Shramsafalya Foundation, Amravati
It gives me immense pleasure to share that Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ghatkheda, Amravati is a self-reliant, district-level institution dedicated to the advancement of agriculture and rural development. The center is operated by Shramsafalya Foundation, Amravati, and is Sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. Since its establishment in 1995, the center has been consistently working towards empowering farmers through knowledge, innovation, and practical solutions.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra plays a vital role in transferring agricultural technologies directly to farmers by reaching out to them in their villages. Through On-Farm Trials (OFTs), we assess and refine technologies under real farming conditions and provide recommendations tailored to local needs and resources.
